The Town of Creston Welcomes You

The Creston Valley is the best kept secret of the Kootenays! Our climate is comparable to the Okanagan in the summer and winters that are mild enough to enjoy a walk. There is enough snow to satisfy the most avid snowmobiler or cross-country skier; the fragrance of apple and cherry blossoms from Valley orchards, fills the spring air. We guarantee only the best quality fruits and vegetables at local fruit stands, or from one of our many orchards.

If you are an outdoor enthusiast, we have what you are looking for, everything from a first rate golf course, to trout and bass fishing, or scuba diving in the nearby Kootenay Lake. Hiking or mountain biking terrain is within minutes of our downtown. Our local Airport is well equipped to handle air traffic from the smallest to light commercial aircraft.

Visit the Creston Valley Wildlife Centre and take a canoe tour or hike along the many acres of educational marsh and woodland.

Creston is host to the Creston Valley Blossom Festival, now in it’s 62nd year, this only one of many festivals and events held in the Valley (i.e. Garden Festival, Quilt Festival and more).

The economy of the Creston Valley has survived many ‘tough’ times in the forest industry, and we have proven that ‘positively’ Creston is the place to be! Whether you are looking to start a business, build a home, or retire in one of our many new senior’s developments, we have it all.

The door is always open at Town Hall, drop in and introduce yourself, we’ll be happy to show you around and personally welcome you to Creston.

Joe Snopek
Mayor
