Crash kills Alberta resident

One Alberta resident was killed in a two-car collision near the Creston-Salmo summit on Friday. Three more were transported to hospital, two of whom were pulled from a flaming car by an unidentified Good Samaritan, Cpl. Rob Knapton said on Tuesday.

Thunder goalie returns to Cats

A familiar face will be returning to Creston’s Junior B hockey team this season, but he won’t be on the ice. Former Creston Valley Thunder goalie Grady Hunt will fill the team’s assistant coach position, made available by the departure of co-coach Mike Young.
